UFM is aware of the importance of personal data privacy and has therefore implemented a data processing policy aimed at providing maximum security in the use and collection of the same, ensuring compliance with current regulations on the subject and configuring this policy as one of the basic pillars in the entity’s lines of action.

UFM has implemented the necessary technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access, and theft of the personal data that users may provide as a result of accessing the different sections of the website https://madrid.ufm.edu/, applying the security measures that allow the processing of data in accordance with the principles and guarantees provided for in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

While browsing the website, personal data may be requested in order to improve the user's experience, to contact the user if he/she has so requested or to receive electronic communications from UFM, such as newsletters, magazines, bulletins, manage registration for events, courses, or send other information that he/she has requested. In each of the forms you fill in, you will be informed of the processing of your data and the purposes for which the requested data will be used.

Pursuant to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation-RGPD), we inform you that your data will become part of files owned by UFM, and will be processed.

The data will be processed by UFM, the entity having been authorized to do so by the users’ consent, under the provisions of Article 6.1 a) of the RGPD, or on the basis of legitimate interest.

What Data Do We Collect?

If you contact us, you will be asked for your name and last name, email address, location, telephone number, and the reason for your query.

If you fill out enrolment forms for a degree or postgraduate program, you will be asked for personal information, contact details, academic level, level of language knowledge, professional experience, bank details for the direct debit of payments for services provided by UFM.

If you request to receive the Journal of Economic Affairs, you will be asked for your email address.

If you wish to receive information about activities and news that may be of interest to you, please fill in the form in the contact area of the website.

For what purpose do we use the data?

The files are to respond to queries or provide requested information, to take into account suggestions made by web users, and to inform them about new activities and news that may be of interest to them, as well as the maintenance of data for statistical and historical purposes, internal to the entity.

In the event that you fill out an admission application to one of our undergraduate or graduate programs, your data will be used to assess and evaluate the applications received, the management of your enrollment, if applicable, and for academic and administrative management during the course of your studies, as well as to keep you informed about other courses, acts, and events that we believe may be of interest to you.

Will data be shared?

To carry out the aforementioned processes, and due to the structure of our information system in Cloud applications, your data will be shared with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Activolution S.L., in charge of automating the acquisition of leads for this website, Google LLC, Oracle Eloqua, in charge of automating the acquisition of leads, marketing and delivery of correspondence, electronically, Oracle Sales, Salesforce Pardot, in charge of automating the acquisition of leads, marketing and delivery of correspondence, electronically, of this website. They will also be shared with financial institutions for the charging of services provided by UFM, and with UFM staff in Guatemala.

How long will we process your data? For as long as they continue to be necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, for compliance with UFM's legal obligations and as long as you do not object to their processing, as well as until the statute of limitations expires on any actions that may be brought against INPRO in relation to the services provided.

What Are My Rights?

The rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation of processing and portability may be exercised by writing to the UFM Data Protection Representative at the University's address, attaching reliable proof of the identity of the data subject, or by email to delegadoprotecciondatos.madrid@ufm.edu.
